I am getting the error during Schucal start: The operating system is not presently configured to run this application.

In recent days Schucal can return the following error during the start: The operating system is not presently configured to run this application:

This message can keep looping and cannot be closed. In this case you need to kill it in Task Manager: CTRL-ALT-DELETE -> Task Manager > select Schucal process and click End Task.

Schucal software itself cannot be started.

This problem is related to updated Microsoft ODBC drivers that Schucal is using to communicate with the database system. We are working to fix this issue permanently, but In the meantime here is the method to temporary fix the problem:

Download the following installer:

Run it. The installer is in German version so below you can find the steps marked red which you need to confirm:

After this procedure Schucal components will be fixed and you can use the software again.

The problem can temporary reappear again in the future, depending of Microsoft auto-update packages deployment.

If it will happen before official Schucal Service Pack fix just repeat the above procedure again.
