How to change unit system in Schucal to Imperial (inches)?

Schucal is natively metric software but can be set to work with Imperial units.

To do that go to General > Settings > User settings > Administrator (or any other actual user) > Country settings > System of units

You can change units to:

  • SI (Metric) – Native metric
  • Imperial – Fully imperial
  • SI and Imperial – Hybrid (metric / imperial)

System of units: Imperial

In this setting Schucal user interface is Imperial and you can enter values in inches and fractions:

All outputs (printouts) will be expressed in imperial units as well (feet/inches/lbs):

There are still some areas in Schucal configuration where you must use metric values. Schucal database is always metric and Schucal just recalculate it to display and print in imperial units.

System of units: SI and Imperial

In this setting Schucal user interface is metric and you are entering values in millimeters:

All outputs (printouts) will be expressed in both imperial and metric units (feet/inches/mm and lbs/kg):

This seems to be the best setting to work with Schucal on US market where Schuco technical and order terminology is still metric, but you have to provide imperial documentation for US fabricators or clients.
